The Year 2007 started out slow, the summer blockbusters were (yawn) ho-hum, but December was surprisingly good, IMO. Just wondering what you guys think 2008 will bring?

The Dark Knight is tops on my list, followed by Indiana Jones, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and The Incredible Hulk. I like the fact they acknowledge the first Hulk sucked and have rebooted. Also like the idea of Edward Norton in the lead.

I might venture out to see Rambo later this month if the initial reviews are pretty good.

Looks to be a fairly entertaining summer.
    No excuses!

I'm not expecting anything good in 2008, so if there is something decent. it will be a nice surprise. :)

you really have to go back 20+ yrs or so for really great year's in movie making history..

Hmmm. Dark Knight should be pretty good. The last Batman was obviously the best one, so if this one is at least as good, that'll be cool.

We are in need of another movie to the tune of "Office Space".

It'll be a **** year without the Writers Guild of America, who are on strike. I personally think their gripes are reasonable, but I haven't been paying much attention to what the precise demands are. All I know is that if people aren't writing, we're not going to be getting much in the way of movies. Probably more likely to have an effect late in 2008 and 2009+. Not sure if it has any effect on current projects already being produced.

I still maintain my Tim Burton fan club and say the original was the best :o

As for how the writer's strike will affect this year... we'll see. Anything in post-production will be unaffected, but anything being filmed or not started filming yet is dead for now. Considering how far ahead they make movies we've got a good nine months before we'll see the effects.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Early 2009 and into the summer will probably suck bigtime for movies due to the strike. Then it spills over into new release DVDs and such.

    Brad...
Have you ever met a movie you liked?:D
So... I'm thinkin'.... from your perspective...

    EVERYTHING IN 2008 WILL SUCK.

    BIG TIME:)
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I guess you haven't been keeping up with my recent posts here. Quite uncharacteristically, there have been a few that I liked a lot lately -- Shoot 'Em Up, War, Rescue Dawn, The Kingdom, etc.

I'm actually looking forward to the 2008 flicks. But don't despair, ZB -- you'll be first to know if I hate a movie.;)

    Several good films coming;

    Dark Knight
    Hellboy II
    Ironman
Hulk (I liked the first one)
    Indiana Jones (hopefully it's good)
    Wanted

More I just can't pull from the dark, vast, reaches of my noggen right now. And while I want to see them all, I'll wait for them to hit Blu-ray or HD-DVD (if it's still around).
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.
