McIntosh or Sunfire?

    and what is the mcintosh sound??? ive heard good and bad. some like it but others dont. can i have some thoughts on how mcintosh amps compare in sound the the big boys of hifi.

    At it again. I've got my first McIntosh on the way! A less glamorous, vintage SS model (MC2100) for relatively little dough, but a McIntosh none the less. Hope it pleases my more than my old Sunfire Sig did :D

    The vintage stuff is nice, but some of the older models lack the dampening for large drivers.

    I recently had an amp with extremely high (1100+) damping factor; it sounded very nice but not exactly what I'm looking for with my current Tannoys :)
    Most tube amps also have pretty low damping factors.
