7 out of 8 reviews claim their unit failed. The one positive review, who says his has worked for ten years can be thrown out, because it's only been available for two years.

    I don't think I've ever seen a product's reliability rated that poorly.

They are nothing to write home about. Very very average and actually seem to have some reliability issues. Probably a nice starter unit for a teenager.

I've been running an AudioSource ampOne for nearly a year and can't complain. No hiss, sounds great. This one is rated at 80 WRMS @ 8 ohm stereo and 200 WRMS @ 8 ohm bridged.

It does run a bit warm but I have plenty of ventilation on it. Personally, the amp running warm is a good sign(higher quiescent current).

I have the Amp 100 for deck speaker duty and it works well. But it is only used for about 6 months out of the year at low listening levels. It serves my purpose very well, but not sure I'd rely on one for 2 channel or HT duty.....

I have an Amp One...probably 10 years old, beat up and scratched, but never runs out of gas and very clean sounding. The guy I bought it from told me it was one of the protos. For what I paid for it, it's a keeper.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO

I also back the AmpOne. I have two of them along with the PreOne and have never had a problem with any of them. They are not the most hifi amps you can buy, but solid for the price, does not color the music, and very quiet.

I've had the AmpThree for seven or eight years, and I'd say zingo's comments are a fair assessment of it as well.

Yeah, I've seen the innards of the amp one, and it's quite impressive for the price.
