Sub Help Velodyne Dps12

Hi guys
I know there are a few guys that have this sub.
Here is my setup
RTi10 front /CSi5 center /FXi5 surround /CSi3 rear /Velodyne Dsp12 sub
HK avr230 (pre-amp in the future)
I had an athena (GOOD SUB EASY TO USE) which i sold to purchase the velo for 299 on sale and a lot of people in montreal recomended it.I recieved it yesterday and i spent 4 hrs. trying to make it sound right.Can anyone who has a similar set up recomend the settings.
Any help would be much appreciated thanks.
