I have a pair of RT55's in black oak for sale.
Great condition, low hours.
I'd prefer a local pickup, but may be open to shipping.
No original boxes.
$210.00

Trublu, not only are you the GPS guru, but you have two of these also?! I have four as my mains and surrounds, and a CS400 center to match. I think they are one of the best lucky finds to be had on the used market. Don't be fooled people: these are BIG bookshelf speakers, basically towers on stands! 35Hz-26kHz frequency response with a lower -3dB limit at 47Hz, 91dB sensitivity, 20-200w, 38lbs each ... I love mine.

Good luck with the sale, and congratulations to the lucky new owner.
    Alea jacta est!

Agreed. I wish I had the situation and or space to keep them. But they aren't being used and I can't justify just storing them anymore.
As Kex said, these are BIGbookshelf speakers. Put out a ton of sweet sound.

I have a set in my bedroom hooked up to some old equipment and they sound great.
If I needed them I would jump on them right now.

I have these as fronts with f/x500 surrounds and just traded to a 7.2 receiver. What do you think about RT55s as rear surrounds with f/x500 as dipole surrounds? I live in SC so what would shipping be?

those would be GREAT for rear surrounds. at worst, they would be considerred overkill, but hell, most of our home theaters are overkill, so who cares?

I agree... the RT55's are "towers on stands". I have the RT800i's and they are basically the same speaker in a tower design. Awesome speakers.

I picked these up at Luc's humble casa tonight, I was actually in a hurry to get to the airport and basically grabbed these without my usual craigslist type forensic analysis...just had Luc lay em on my back seat and I was gone...I knew they would be golden.

Got em home just about an hour ago and finally had a chance to actually look at them...they are just as described....a very nice example of a sweet older polk product.

Hooked em up in the mancave where the stands and cables were already waiting ( These damn things are huge for so called bookshelf speakers...polk really stretched it on that description ;) ) and the tunes are already flowing.

    Thanks again Luc
