good front main speakers....LFE?

just wondering...

is a subwoofer for LFE still necessary if one has a pair of fronts that will go below 20Hz and above 20KHz in HT application :confused:
my 7.(1x4) HT setup
TV - Mitsubishi WD-65734
AVP / Amp - Onkyo PR-SC885P / D-Sonic 2500-7
Front - Emerald Physics CS2
Center - JTR Triple 12LF
Surround L/R / Back - Polk RTi4 / Polk FXi A4
Sub - 4 X Hsu ULS15 playing nearfield
DVD / CDP - Sony PS3/40GB / Sony SCD-XA9000ES
Belkin PURE AV PF60 / UPS

    When LFE is routed to the mains, the explosions used for effects can require upwards of 500-1000 watts to reproduce at reference levels. Few stereo/multi channel amps can handle these transient peaks like a dedicated sub amp can. It really puts your tweeters at risk when the amps clip due to loud sound effects.

    I even cross some bass out of my largest towers for movies since it colors the mids and highs when the low stuff is induced into the track.

    The term "full range" is used loosely to indicate most music tracks, not movie soundtrack effects.
