New to the board and so far it looks great.
Looking for some advice.
Have a RF 801X 4 channel amp 100 watts RMS @ 4ohms and 200 @ 2 ohms per channel. Wanting to hook up 8 6x9's (2 per channel) wired in parallel which should give me 200 watts per channel @ 2 ohms with 4 ohm speakers.
Anyone try this???
Has been hooked up with 1 speaker per channel with 4 ohm speakers and looking for a louder set-up. Only use the 6x9's for the mids and highs and I have a sub amp with 2 10's hooked to it for the bass.
Have blown a few 6x9's and looking for help picking out some new speakers for this boating season if anyone has any recommendation? Can't seam to find any speakers with a high enough RMS level of 200 watts @ 2 ohms.
Wired as above how many watts will each speaker see?
Looked at some Infinity KAPPA 693.7i's that are 2 ohm but they ony handle 110 watts RMS, if I were to go back to 1 speaker per channel the amp would put out 200.
Any advice will help.
