HDDVD/BD Where the hell is Oppo in all this?

Anyone have any info on if/when Oppo is gonna get involved with an HD player. Just curious.
Everytime I think I'm out, THEY PULL ME BACK IN!!!!!!

    They are most likely too small of a company to invest any money at this point to HD.

    They are/were waiting to see which format becomes dominant. Maybe they will start work on a Blu player now (keeping fingers crossed!)

    ditto, I would love to have an oppo hd player. I just refuse to get caught up in the format war, screw that, I still enjoy my SD movies.

    Another Oppo fan here. However, they need to make a $249 dual format player. I'd buy it.

    I was and still an Oppo fan, but in all honesty, my XA1 does a better job of upconverting than my Oppo.

    My Oppo is on strickly SACD duty only, sad to say.

    Oppo's parent is BBK, a fairly large Chinese conglomerate. As stated, I think they are just waiting. They are in my backyard, maybe I'll give them a call and ask.
