AQ DiamondBack

In the late fall I bought a pair of the DBs on the FM, well they were actually a xmas gift from Willow(our dog) to me. Due to bad health I was not able to hook them up till today. They are hooked up to my Marantz DV4200 which I use only as a cdp. Popped in a mix of various new rock, laid back down on the air matress set up in our HT room(again due to my health) grabed the laptop and surfed...well I have to say these cables are incredible!! the best RCA type cables I have ever owned. I was going to use them to hook up my Marantz monos to the AVR but were to short, so I decided to hook up the DVDP for music only not to waste these. WOW!! I blown away at how clear and accurate everything sounds. In the past I was using Gsnakes for the same purpose, not the cheapest cables out there but these DB bring something to my listening never experienced before. I think the combo of the HK avr, the M700s and these cables make my rti8s very enjoyable to listen to, which in the past I could say I was not so happy with. As far as how clear everything is, it would be like swamp water to Brita water. The guitar strokes are clear, clean and crisp. All instuments sound as though they are in my room. Voices are as they should sound.
I'm really glad I kept and hooked them up, when I noticed they were a tad short, I thought of selling them. These along with my AQ indigo speaker cables are life keepers. Thanks to all who have made this possible by selling them.

Grats JF.
I know the cables you're talking about. How long are they finally?
Oh yeah, and what's your speaker placement?

p.s. get well soon. Debbie's off for the same reason and Marcel L has been set free. -
I really like the AQ Diamondbacks as well. My 2 channel rigs go back and forth between Signal Cable and AQ Copperheads. I considered upgrading from my Copperheads to the Diamondbacks...but just never got around to it."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Al- They are .5m so quite short. You can check the showcase for my speaker placement.
Thanks this time it's bad, worse than ever, I'll be off for another month if not longer.
Shack- I starter off with Gsnake a decent well made cable. Then I bought some Sidewinders which are very good they are connected to my Ma700s. I thought I would hppk up the DBs to them but way to short. So Now I'm just waiting for my Paypal account to get verified so I can buy either some more sidewinders for my m200 or replace all with DB.
I tried emailing Frank as I want better HDMI cables but he never wrote back. -
I tried the Diamondbacks a couple years ago, but found them a little to dry sounding and went back to copperheads. After having 2 mishaps with copperheads that led to ground hum, I moved to Kimber.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
