Polk Monitor speakers/versus other series

Can anyone advise as to which speaker series has the same characteristics as the Monitors. ei crossovers etc.? I am aware of the fact that the Monitor enclosures are not real wood(although they do look like it). Can the RTi series be used in conjuction with the Monitors? Can any other series be used in conjunction with the Monitors and have better better sound reproduction.
