Thoughts on using Omnimount shelf for CSi5

So all the new speakers (Rti10, Csi5, FXi5, DSW PRO 500) are all hooked up and now I'm dealing with the where to put the center quandry. I was all ready to make a shelf attached to the wall but after doing some searches of the forum I discovered the Omnimount shelf. I'm not sure if it'll work since the back of my Samsung DLP doesn't have much of a slope on the back, though. That will have to be determined by buying it. Before I do so, though, I'm wondering what people think about that shelf. Any horror stories?!?!? It would be a nightmare to see this new speaker crash to the floor!!!! Thanks in advance everyone!

Worked for me and my LSiC but then I'm using a CRT. Those Omnimounts have legs that extend a good distance and they hold well. My cousin has a rear projector with a severe slope in the back and he too is using the Omnimount successfully.
Try it out but hang on to your receipt. -
I use the Omnimount shelf for my CSi5 mounted on top of a Sony 60" rear projector with a pretty steep slope and it works fine. I would suggest that you stick lots of little rubber bumpers all over the shelf (like what you would put behind a picture frame mounted on the wall) to protect your speaker and your tv from the shelf. The shelf is metal and even though it feels smooth I've heard of people getting little scratches in the finish of their speakers or on top of their tv.McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. Oppo UDP-203 Blu-Ray player, Polk LSiM 705 speakers. Polk Signature S20 speakers.

So far so good. Ran to Circuit City and picked one up - it seems to be working okay. It pushes the cabinet of the DLP in a bit but I don't think it'll cause any damage. I placed felt on the shelf in certain areas to protect the tv and speaker from scratches. Now I'm just hoping it doesn't come crashing down! *crossing fingers*

I use one on for my LSiC on my Hitachi LCD rear projection. Works great. (I did put a small non-slip pad under the parts where the stand contacts the TV) it has worked great for the last 2 years.
One thing I will say - put the stand in so its level and then prop the speaker as neccesary to "aim" it at the listener. (as oppsed to using the stand to aim it)Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)
