Is that what killed it the first time or just a fluke bad unit?I know just enough to be dangerous, but don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm a genius.

Actually a mixture of 2 problems--my ipod definitely had a hardware problem, but the fact that I couldn't copy Apple Lossless just confused the issue.
Best Buy exchanged it, and now that I know that shuffles don't support lossless, everything is working fine. I had a feeling something was wrong witht he first shuffle, as it showed fully charged after only being plugged up for 3 minutes.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
