I need some help with this older model Polk sub. I think it was called an EX or DX.. Does anyone know where I could get the specs for this sub, it is a 10" single 4 ohm woofer. I need to know the power handling and ideal sealed box size.

Here's a couple of pictures:

Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Thanks for the info. My amp will do 400x1 RMS at 4 ohms. If I keep the gains turned down, do you think it would blow the 10" sub?

    Thanks

    It's an EX10 for sure.

And 400 watts RMS x 1 on a sub that handles 150 watts RMS is not a very good idea IMO. You can turn those gains all the way down and it will still be overpowering that sub by at least 50 watts.

That sub is old and it's dusty so it's probably been sitting around a while. That amp will probably end up chewing that sub up. You're better off getting a small stereo amp that is bridgeable and run it off of that with a low-pass filter on it.
