loud cd recordings, can they dammage players/dacs?

hello just wonderd about cd levels on the disk itself. i have a wide range in taste of music and some of it is verry verry loud. is it possable to damage a player ect?
there is a few albums i had in mind one in particular that i like though is

    No damage to you gear unless the vol knob is too high and you overdrive your amp/receiver and or speakers. I have to constantly adjust my vol knob with different recordings. Unfortunately this is the way the music industry has gone.

    I've made a cd skip a time or two by haveing a sub too loud.I would imagine if you had some tube gear,it could rattle some stuff loose.Look at Sid,in that small room with the subs he's got.Can't imagine something not getting wiggled loose with all those bass waves bouncing around.

    I think Ward was thinking of the actual signal intensity coming off a disc damaging the player itself. Like "overloading" it.
