Back into Vinyl...Finally

After a couple of false starts with eBay purchases I'm finally enjoying vinyl again. I was at a repair shop picking up a piece of equipment and was able to land a mint Technics SL-QD3 with a Grado cartridge. Then, when I got home there was the package of albums I bought from George at my front door. The albums are in better shape than George indicated.
Digital compression-free music is GOOD!:D

Well, I guess congratulations are in order than. :D

I've got some great vinyl selections from George too. The local goodwill has recently expanded their vinyl area and I run into more folks sorting through it. I have to keep a hand on my buy stack while sorting through the selections.

cool beans, I really like the amount of cheap used vinyl I can find, although, it seems to be going up in price a bit as the resurgence continues, I do wonder though whether the rebound will be sustained long term.

I was in my local S Army store Saturday and they had a new box of records. Picked thru and found about 50 in excellent condition. Normally priced at $1.00 ea., I asked the manager could he let em go a little cheaper. He said if you buy all those they will be .25 apiece. Done deal. I'm getting so many I don't have time to listen to them. Guess we better grab them while they are available.

There is not one thing wrong with doing that. The only thing I would tell you to do would be to clean/treat the LPs you are accumulating while everything else is in storage. This way when you get your rig up and running again, you will only have to do a quick spin on the cleaning machine and they are ready to play.

You know ...it may come down to me selling my stuff but I am really trying to make that a last resort. In the meantime you will just have to get your own!:D
