CSi A6 with RTi A7?

Hi,

I'm upgrading my system. I've decided on a pair of RTi A7s for my front left and right speakers. I'm now choosing the center. I prefer the specs on the CSi A6 over the CSi A4, but a local dealer told me that between the two RTI-series centers, only the CSi A4 is the correct match for the RTi A7s due to the drivers being matched between the RTi A7 and CSi A4 but not CSi A6. (He said the CSi A6 drivers are matched specifically with the RTi A9's.) Is this true and why?

Thanks for the info!

Did the salesperson (Frys) just not know what he was talking about? To summarize, he told me that I should not use the CSi A6 with the RTi A7s because it's not a matched speaker. He told me that the CSi A4 is the correct center to use with the RTi A7s. That doesn't sound correct to me, but I wanted to ask here for your advice. I like the CSi A6 more than the A4. Thanks for the help. Oh, I'll be powering these with the Sony STR-DA5300ES (120 WPC).

The guy didn't know what he's talking about. There have always been 2 CSi's both are timbre matched to the RTi's. It's just that one is bigger than the other.

    Or as Polk puts it:

    CSi Series
    Real Wood. Real High Performance

The CSi line is our mid-level speaker series it has been designed to be the perfect match for RTi Series speakers in multi-channel systems. They are more efficient then the LSi put are not as accurate. They provide a great listening experience for a home theater system at a reasonable price.
