Speaker cable termination help

I just got a new set of speaker cables with nanners on the speaker ends and spades on the amp end. Dummy me didn't check my M-500t amp thoroughly before ordering the cables, and the terminal posts on the amp are the old style plastic terminals designed to accept bare stripped wire. Does anyone know of an adapter that I can screw down on the spade connectors that has a pin or flexible pin end that will fit in the old style amp terminals? I'd hate to have to cut the spades off of my new cables.

Monster makes some convertable systems where you can screw different types of tips onto the same cable. Where did you get the cables? Is there any way for exchanging for what you need?

If you have barrier strips, they are adapters available on ebay on audiogon. They allow you to use bananas or small spades."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Nah, not monster cables, they are Cardas. Guess I'll have to make something or go ahead and cut the spades off the cables. I've seen nanner connectors that will attach to spades, but not pin or soft pin connectors.

That is what I'm talking about. Look at the bottom picture, there's a hole in the back that a pin could be inserted in and locked down."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Face, I saw those too, but don't think they will work with the M-500t. The terminal posts on the amp have a raised plastic ring at the base of the terminal with a slot on each side for the wire to lay in. The screw down portion of the terminal is smaller in diameter than the base cup and is designed to clamp the wire tight against the bottom of the base cup. Spades don't work because it only contacts plastic if you tighten the terminal down. The bottom cup won't let the spade connector contact the plate at the bottom of the terminal. Thanks for looking though and the reply.

Gotcha now. Best of luck."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

If a single end of the spade lug will fit, bend the other backwards and then crimp the entire lug in half.
