    My wallet just slapped me silly and told me to get an audio addiction pill.

    That's a pretty kick **** idea, I must say. I hope they figure out how to do it as I'm sure they could use the same technology to solve other problems.

    It seems like this system wouldn't help with any withdrawal symptoms or cravings as the brain is completely left out of the loop. It simply renders the drugs ineffective at binding so if you're already addicted then tough for you but if you took it before ever trying cocaine or smoking then you'd be fine.

    Or maybe it will cause a crazy retro-virus mutation which will turn everyone into blood sucking killing machines which hide in abandoned NYC buildings...

    The vaccine would be a good start at getting someone off cocaine, but it does nothing to prevent them from relapsing onto another addictive substance. And, should that person get no treatment for the underlying causes of their addiction, relapse is a very likely result.
