Kind of a long story on how it happened, but I got a pair of new LSi15's for $476 + tax.

So cheap I didn't qualify for the free Polk sub offer:mad::D

In case it's not obvious, the title to my post is not a serious question. I still can't believe the deal I got.

I actually bought these on Dec. 9 at Fry's in Plano, TX for about $450 per speaker. I wasn't offered the free sub deal at the time of purchase, but after seeing a post here thought I should make sure I wasn't eligible for a free sub. After several calls and returned calls, I was told that I was eligible for the free sub because the promotion was indeed going on when I made my initial purchase. Fast forward to New Year's Eve.

Take my receipt in to get my free sub and they do a return/re-purchase. When he enters the 15's, they come up at $237 per speaker.

I'll take this oppurtunity to say the workers at Fry's were AWESOME. It was New Years Eve and they were trying to close, but they willingly took care of me.

    so it was an accident?

and I thought my pair of RTi12 for $600 was a good deal....I did the same return/buy thing...because I was returning the PSW125 for the PSW10...no mistake there...

But I did pick up a Onkyo SR805 for $699 there on the way out...

That is unbelievable! I was about to march down to Fry's right now, but figured I would try the same thing and just be out $1000. I doubt it would work again. But, good snag.

I bet the guy fat-fingered it when he was entered it in, or entered the wrong model number by mistake.

But just to be safe, anyone want to drive down to the Plano, TX store for me to check? If they are still the same price, I'll pay for your gas money and for the shipping to get the speakers sent to me. ;)

So, did you buy a cheap polk speaker to get over $500 for $200 coupon? :)

Great deal! I might grab a pair just to resell for a quick gain.

So I got a guy form craigslist who I will pay 50 bucks to go to frys and send these pair of speakers for me (LSI15 are on CLEARANCE for 237 each, I verified).
Shipping will come out to 100 bucks + 50 dollars labor. That brings the speakers to 312 each. Which is similar to the deal they had on these speakers earlier this month.

I currently have a budget setup (RTI8/CSI5/FIX3 x4). As much as the LSi15 sound juicy, I would have to spend another 500+ dollars on a decent amp.

What to do, what to do

...all the stores around me (LA, CA)are sold out...like a week ago (I called the City of Industry, Anaheim, and Burbank)..for $237 each. I got my RTi12 last Wednesday.....for $300 each...

anyway, I can put it this way - I don't have to drive larger speakers - hooray!!

    Contributing back to this board:

I know stores in TEMPE, Fisher, OXnard has them at 237 each. Of course they don't ship so if you are really want them. You might want to try someone on craigslist to courier them for you. However, shipping along on those will be 100 dollars+

yeah, trusting someone on CL to come through on a deal that will potentially put $600-$700 at risk is asking a lot. Better to find some as close to you as possible and make the drive.

I called around to some other ones around DFW (Garland, Plano, Irving). They all have some, but they are either mis-colored, or mis-matched (two rights at most stores). Haven't called to all of them in the area, though, as I was busy at work today.

You dont have to call everystore. Just ask the people entering into the system to tell you where the remaining LSi15s are. Some of them are rude but thats expected. They should have a better system where you can directly order online and have the inventory sent from stores.

    yeah...ditto on the CL...$600 isn't $60 or even $100 to lose...

Anyway, I'm content with my $600 RTi12s/free PSW10 that I'm selling...I think my SR805 wouldn't pull out the full potential of the LSi15s.....

now please someome hook me up with CSI5s :)

BTW, are FXI3 (white) for 200 a good deal?

No. They were going to, but @ $237 per speaker it no longer qualified for the deal (Buy $499 worth of Polk speakers get $200 off any Polk sub). I already had a cherry PSW 125 (i think) in my cart, but it rang up at regular price. I'm actually the one who figured out why I wasn't getting $200 off. Since I wasn't able to get the $200 off, I had to cancel the purchase. As I mentioned earlier, the folks at Fry's were great...I know they had to be hating me.

I wonder if they would do $250 per speaker to help people qualify for the deal and get a steal on the speakers.

Anyway, great deal for you. I'm gonna call a couple more Fry's to see if I can grab a pair this weekend.

Went to the Frys in Burbank, CA on Tuesday. LSi15's for $237+tax, but they only had the floor models in cherry. They had the LSi25's for $399+tax, cherry, floor models. Had LSi25's in black for $1250 a piece. Woodland Hills, CA frys sold out of 15's and 25's. I picked up a pair of RTi 12's, RTi 8's and a CSi3 for $1100.00+tax. Too good to pass up. Bought a pair of LSi15's in Cherry from Frys Outpost in early December for $316X2 only to receive an email two days later saying they only shipped one, I cancled the order. Oxnard store has 15's and 25's in Cherry, floor models only for above mentioned prices as of Jan. 2nd.
