LC265i Enclosure- Can you make one yourself?
I own a pair of Polk LC265i in wall speakers. I would like to construct a speaker enclosure (similiar to the performance enclosure Polk offers.) Does anyone know if there is a schematic drawing available for how these enclosre are constructed, or any tips for creating the enclosure? Thanks.

They're not ported, so you'd just take the dimensions from here:

and create a sealed, reinforced box out of 1/2" MDF. Stuff it heavily, then once you have everything up & running, pull out the stuffing till it suits your taste.Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

I thought the 1 cubic ft of required area should not have any insulation within it. Is that correct?

Like I said, it's a matter of taste- the box will raise your Qtc; the stuffing will bring it back down. Those speakers are going to be designed for IB, so they probably have a slightly higher Q to start with.
Mainly what you're doing here is changing the speaker's box from an inconsistent, leaky, unpredictable box to a uniform enclosure. The speakers are designed for a very large "Box" and stuffing your somewhat smaller box will simulate this, but you may find that you like the sound better without the stuffing. I have 2 in-wall LC265i speakers in my livingroom. I use them for listening to music. Can anyone recommend what Polk subwoofer I should purchase to best work with these speakers?
