Common ground? Seems like some of the Carvers are not.

Great amp, dollar a watt. Voice to sound indistinguishable from the fabled Levinson ML-2 (a John Curl design)

Almost no brainer category. Still wish that I had mine.

    Common ground, SDA friendly.

I have 2 of them that need to be repaired. I thought about selling them, though, to get an M-4.0t, TFM-4.0t or TFM-45. What does everyone do when you want to power it up? Is the M-1.5t current sensing on the RCA's when it sees a signal from the preamp?

There is no power switch (or signal detection) I think Carver was expecting you to use the switched power outlet of the Carver preamps to turn this model on and off.

So, when it's used thru the switched output of the preamp, it won't have that turn on/off thump or pop?

The only Carver amp that ever thumped in one of my systems, was a dog M1.0t. And I've used a few different Carver amps. Couldn't get that thing out of the house fast enough. Never a thump with M1.5t.

Congrats Dave, the audio virus is spreading and there is no cure! :D. Can't wait to hear it. Been a long time since I've heard a Carver amp for any length of time.

Looks like his 2 ch rig is half way there :p:D. What would he do without our influence? :)

Just a side note (congrats on the sale / purchase fellas), if you have the original Amazings [4 ohm that goes down to 1 ohm] this amp will not power them properly. ;)
