Monitor 4 Parts

Hello all

Old Polk user here.

Im looking for replacement drivers for my M4's. They have been beat on by my three girls as they were growing up. Come home and find the bass turned up all the way and the poor 4's beating themselves to death. Why they did this I don't know. The MX-100 would be knocking stuff off the walls and cracking the plaster.

So now the girls are all raised up and other peoples problem. :D And I want to rehab my mighty 4's. So where can a person purchase the drivers and grill badges? The speaker box's are still in very good shape. As are my DIY Oak stands. The 4's are still in service. But they are a real pain to listen to now.

They need some TLC. Any help would be great!!!!

Thank You

Call Polk CS, and they should have the parts you need. If they don't please bump your post, and someone will hook you up. Are they 4.6's or straight4's?

    Thanks for the response.

They are straight old 4's. The drivers are MW 6502. Jun 12 1990. Could use some tweeters also. The corners are cracking around the screw holes.

The CS guy was real nice.

    The woofer is $48
    Tweeter $24

So call it $140 to put new drivers in the old M4's. Funny how a old set of monitors that I bought for a $150 pair are worth the reinvestment.

Aint it great to be stuck in lower mid-fi hell.... :)
