New to Polk and could use some advice

Been running Bose Lifestyle system for the past 6 years (I know, I know). I got pissed at them for dead ending my system. I figured since it was Xmas, I would go looking at new audio equipment. I found all the close-out pricing for polk audio and went to few stores so I could listen to the speakers.

I was pretty impressed with the sound and pleased with the prices so I figured I would get exactly what I wanted for Xmas. Well, almost exactly and that is the reason for this post.

After doing some good reading on these boards, I discovered that the sub I picked up with the discount offer probably isn't going to be what I wanted. So rather, than going and listening to some sales guy, could someone please make a recommendation on a decent sub in the $450 - $550 range.

Thanx in advance for your time,
Scott

The new Polk DSW series is supposed to be pretty good, although I have not actually heard them myself, & they are in your price range. For me personally, I am going to try Emotiva's new subwoofer system when it becomes available.

How do you like that Audiosource amp??

I have bought one of those, but not listened to it yet (I return to the US Jan 18).

I got it off of Ebay yesterday. After reading these boards I knew I would need an amp for the RTi10's. I figured it was a reasonable price and if I didn't like it I could get most of my money back on the item.

Once I get it hooked up, I'll post back here and let ya know.

Thanx quick reply, I'll go take a look at them.

Anyone have any opinions on the eD A3 - 300 Sub woofer? It comes with the optional 130v.2, which has been getting a few good reviews.

I have it on the advice of people that I trust implicitly that the DSW subs are real hifi contenders.

Audiosource amps are great bang/buck items.

Thanx for the information and references.

I decided to keep it all in the polk family. I returned the PSW125 and ordered the DSW 500 and am looking forward to it's arrival.

    Thanx again
