    Wonder what members of other forums were offered to jump on this? Seems to me the idea here is to offer exclusive here first, then if the goods don't move, then try the rest of the world. IMHO.

    Speaking from personal experience, it's a great AVR. It's not a feature creature, by any stretch, but for sound quality and amplifier gut it's at the top of it's class.

    On a related subject, as a testament to Harman Kardon's conservative (and MORE than honest) power ratings, a $449 "budget model" h/k avr-147 at an advertised 40x5 actually performs on the bench at 67 watts x5.
    A $1,700 "high-end" yamaha rx-v2700 at an advertised 140 watts x7 actually performs on the bench at48 watts x7.

    Free shipping $200 with cables is a good buy. I had one, and as stated above the 50wpc of the HK did for sure kick my Yami's butt. Yami did a decent job for HT, but with music H/K smokes it. It does have PreOuts, and makes a very good entry level PrePro. I used mine with a 2 channel amp at first, and then I started adding amps. Even with the 2 channel amp at 200wpc I just dropped the L/R to -3db, and the other speakers were set to XO at 80hz, and the HK blended nicely.
