Do you benefit in VQ with HD/BR DVD if your HD TV maxes at 1080i?

    Yes, SD DVD is only 480p ,or i I don't remember which, HD DVD and BD is 1080p, so you will be getting the maximum resolution your TV can handle and not an unconverted 1080i picture from a 480p source.

    yes sir you would, I have a 60 screen in the bedroom that maxes out @1080i connected to the Wal- Mart special A2 and the PQ is unreal, its only a 2 chan setup using a pair of Rti4s but sound is excellent as well. Bottom line yes you will benefit and so will your standard def DVDs.

    What do you mean by that exactly, if your saying there is no noticeable difference between 1080p and 1080i, I would say your right.

    Depends on how big your TV is, and how far away you're sitting.

    There's charts out there that tell you when 1080p becomes noticable or even necessary.
    If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
