Ok so I have an Infinity Reference 5350a, and want to use the bass output to power a single db6750. My head unit has a built in crossover for the sub output. I was sold the single db6750 w/o the component crossover. Am I going to ruin this speaker? And yes I live in the ghetto so I WANT my bass to suck, so stop laughing now.

So you want to use a 5X7 for a subwoofer? Why? It will work for a little while but the amplifiers subwoofer channel is to strong for that speaker so turn the gain down. You will not need the built in crossover on the headunit.

Its fine to use the head unit xover. ...and yes, the bass is going to suck. You'll be overpowering a small driver that isn't meant for sub duties.
