I think the cs400 or cs350 is a better match for my older rt800's. would the 400I be much difference? (willing to go $150 to $200 range) Don't know going prices for 400I tho.

Not to derail your sale Cambir. But I would try to stick with 400 version. Not the 400i. I own both the RT800 and the RT800i's and in my opinion the two sound very different from each other. I also have the 400i but have not got to hear it paired with the rt800's. I would try and keep your front soud stage all the timbre. Just my $0.02.

no problem nikolas812, local sale fell through anyway - the stuff was trashed.

btw - I have my RT800i (RT600 previously) paired with a CS300 and I find the sound to match great...who knows, might think different if I had the "i" on the center too.

    good luck tonyk1.

Thanks Cambir......I'm going to look at a cs-400 locally tomorrow, and hopefully it will be a good purchase.

I've got the 400i and 350. The 400i is a superior sounding speaker while the 350 is a superior looking speaker. The 400i digs a little deeper than the 350 and goes a little louder. I've also found that the 400i integrates quite nicely with my LS90's. I can wholeheartedly recommend either speaker.
