I have this setup and have been second guessing my choice. It is not set up yet. Is this amp enough for these 2 subs? I will have to max out the amp just to get 300 watts to each sub, correct? I know the amp is rated for almost 600watts, which makes about 300 each, and the subs have 400RMS. Enough? Should I go with another amp?

    personally i would go with a more powerfull amp, like a te801D would be a good choice, its a solid MTX amp. also there is;

    Alpine MRP-M850

    Kenwood KAC-9103D

    JL Audio A Series A1800
    2013 Toyota Prius
    Audible Physics 3 Way: H6MB, AR3-A, AR2.0
    Image Dynamics iDMax 12" D2v4
    (2) Alpine PDX-V9 Bridged, Alpine PDX-M12 (500w Mid-Bass, 200w Mid, 200w Tweet, 1200w Sub)
    Mosconi 6to8 v8

using that amp for 2 momo 12" subs will only provide 250 watts to each woofer. I ended up with that for about a week, then I sold one sub. After that I just used the c500.1 to power the one sub for 350 watts.

Like mentioned above, you are better off getting a bigger amp, or another c500.

Getting a more powerful amp will be the way to go. What's your budget?

Not too much. I might be able to afford another c500.1. But for a budget minded, and considering what i have now, would that be enough for now? Incase I would upgrade in the future, being that I just bought the whole system within the the last month alone.

for less than the price of 2 c500's, you can get something like the Alpine MRP-M850 which will provide more power than the two c500's (that alpine amp will give you 400 watts per woofer @ 2 ohms)

I think I am going to change the 1 C500.1 for the Alpine amp. Good choice? I could get the alpine amp cheaper than the c500.1 even with shipping and handling fees to send it back.

So the subs are 400 RMS, and the amp would be pushing around 400 to each sub, making them maxed out. Is this OK? Is that amp actually going to be pushing 400 to each sub? Are alpine amps known for quality?

    Yes, alpine makes quality subs.
Yes, that amp is more than enough, they will be slightly under rated and it will be more like 420 into each woofer
Yes, Its a good choice thats why i suggested it.

U will be Plenty happy with it.

i have 2 10" momos and they have 333 going into each and are rated at 300, sound is amazing.
