Well I am hoping to make this a ritual every year at the holidays. I have been here at CP long enough that it is time for me to step up and join to Karma fun.
My Karma will consist of one 3rd generation 15gb IPod. This is the non-video ipod. It is not in working condition. What need to be done to get this going again? It needs a new battery. This can easily be had on eBay for around 15 dollars with shipping. Installation runs about 15-30 minutes depending on how hard that case is to open. IPOD will come with IPOD cable of coarse!! You can download Itunes from the apple website.

What do you need to do to enter the Karma. Well you must be a club polkie member for 6 months, and have a minimum of 100 posts. Drawing will commence on December 30th.

BTW guys I installed a battery on this unit about two years ago. So I have personally opened the unit. It really is not that very hard. Once open taking the old battery out and installing a new one is a breeze.

Great karma but not in.
To the winner - don't use a screwdriver to open the case as you'll only maul the soft plastic. A thin guitar pick works wonders to open these types of cases if you don't have the proper tools. This way you won't scratch, bend and chip the edges of the ipod (a common mistake when people try to crack them open). -
