I have attached a picture of my new\used 2-channel office rig. Everything is used except for the rack and speakers stands. Some of the equipment was purchased from a few forum members.

The setup...

Speakers - LSi7's
Amp - Parasound HCA1000A from HearingImpaired
Amp - Parasound HCA1000A from Dorokusai (This was free since I permitted a leg hump)
Pre - Parasound Model 2100
SACD - Marantz SA-15S1
TT - NAD C555 from SolidSqual
Interconnects – AQ Columbia
Phono Interconnect – Looking for ideas
Speaker cable – AQ Type8 for now
Power cables – Signal cable

The layout in my office is not optimal but it sure beats listing to my primary rig in the other room from a distance. This is my first shot at vinyl so I have lots to learn. Thanks to HearingImpaired for a ton of info to get me started.

Nice. Your off to a great start:p Watch out for the upgardeitis bug that has been known to go on around here. Also I was wondering how you like your AQ speaker cables(maybe you have a comparo?). I have tried a couple of their cables. The type4, and the CVS4's (dbs), and I really like the CVS4's a lot.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I know the upgardeitis bug all too well with my HT rig. As for the Type 8's, I had those in my HT system. I'm trying a pair of Zingo's cables so these were free to use for now. The Type 8's were nice with my RTi's since they seemed to help tame the highs a bit. I feel they are a little too laid back for the LSi's so I'm in the market for either AQ Gibraltar or MIT Shotgun s3's

Beautiful setup man. I'm starting to itch for a 2ch rig for my office, and haven't even finished my ht setup yet...

Where'd you get the rack? That'd be the perfect size for my room.

That looks fantastic. Just get an AQ phono cable to match the rest.

I got the idea from Ricardo in the system showcase and bought it from uniquestylesolutions.com The rack that I have is the BL304 series.

Upon closer inspection....I might suggest a set of hockeypucks between the amps for better air circulation. Since you're bi-amping, use the bottom one for your highs.

Great suggestion for air circulation. It is really kind of tight between them so giving them some more breathing room can’t hurt. As for hookup, I'm actually running each amp in mono. Even though Parasound strongly tells me otherwise, I have not had any issues yet.

You might also fill the legs of the VTI stands with sand. I have several VTI racks and have done the same.

Well not to break balls here but I've tried sand and it is very messy and it holds moisture and gets moldy. I used #9 lead shot that I purchased from a local gun dealer in my VTI rack . It's easy to pour in and it makes that rack D E A D!!! and on the heavy side so there are no resonances, or vibs or any nasty getting through them. Make sure you pull the rubber plugs in the pillars that block the rails. When you pour the shot in, make sure you do it from the bottom where the points are so you can move the rack in different directions which make the rails fill with shot easier.

Also the hocky pucks are a great idea but I think you need to get at least three inches between those amp. I used Isoblocks from Mapleshade when I had the Parasound. They are only $24 bucks for four of them and you simply place them under the existing feet. These are great little tweeks when you have no choice but to stack. This should give the bottom amp and top amp some good breathing room.

I second that, sand is BS. Lead shot.

If you feel like killing yourself later, you can always eat a few handfuls with your oatmeal in the morning. Sand just gets you discharged with alot of laughing.

I'd cut my own wood before I'd buy a tweak from Mapleshade but is only $24. The wood blocks are a great idea but the owner is one step away from blasting off to Pluto with the Machina Dynamica crew. The Mapleshade recordings are stellar but that's about it.

Awww to hell with you old grumps! Guess you are both just too cool for school. I couldn't get lead shot into the VTI holes because they were too small . . . but if she can jam it in there then your suggestions are spot on.

I really like the Sanus stands but I do have a complaint about the base of the stand. See the attached picture. The risers are dark grey that look almost black and then they have this grey base that looks as if it is dusty all the time. I guess I could paint it but other than the look, I'm very happy with them.
