I love mine. What speakers are you trying to match them up with and what type of music are you listening to? I'm mostly jazz, classical, and 80's. I'm not into the heavy boomy type of music. For music, make sure you plug one of the two ports up.

Also, how big is your room? Mine is small to medium.

I have a pair of LSi9's to match up with, along with an Outlaw RR2150 & ICBM to get the stereo signal to the subwoofers. I mostly listen to blues & classic rock, some progressive rock.

I know this is an old thread, but I've also been looking at the Outlaw subs. They seem really reasonably priced compared to the SVS and other such options, does anyone else have any first-hand experience with / opinions on them?

I have a relatively small room but it's a concrete slab floor so bass is always an issue... but so is money :)
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I have experience with the original Outlaw sub (The LFM I think it became the LFM-1 Plus) and the LFM-1 compact.

The original LFM had good sound I would say close to on par with one of my SVS 25-31's. I did not hear it in my room and do not know how much work was spent calibrating it - it did not quite have the same impact my 25-31+ has, but sound quality was comparable for music imo.

The compact really surprised me. For the price it is an excellent sub. Definately not an SVS (nor does it try to be) but it plays pretty deep and puts most store purchased subs to shame. For the price it really is excellent. Not enough for most of the bass heads here - but for a less demanding home theater, will add quality sound.

I believe all the outlaw subs are designed by HSU but I could be mistaken on that point....
