FXi3 Location?

I am in the process of redoing my L/R for a projector and 7.1 audio. I plan on having my FXi3's for my rear surrounds. I have 10' ceiling and a furrdown behind the seating that is around 9' tall. The seating is about 6' from this furrdown.

Do I need to get some type of bracket to hang the speakers down or set them up some way tilted toward the seating?

Another option is to hang the speakers in the corners at a lower height which will be about 45 degrees from the seating. The corners are about 9' from the center of our recliners. If this is better I could install them at 8' or so.

Are there any brackets that will work with the FXi3's?

I use bookshelfs instead of the bipole dipole surrounds like the fxi3 is, so wiat for someone more experienced to xhime in. that said, I'm pretty sure you do not aim a surround like that down (even if it was a bookshelf, I dont think you ever want to aim it down too much.)

would love to help you more, but I have no idea what a furrdown is. might want to shoot a picture up. actually seeing might help us help you a little more.

surround speakers.. esp FX series do not need to be aimed at the listener.. so no pointing needed. just place them three to four feet above your ears on the wall. and you're good to go. simple, easiest speakers in a system to set up. they don't require as much tweaking as say fronts or center or subwoofers do.

Is that a 'trey ceiling' your talking about?

Not really. The L/R has 10' ceilings and the D/R has 9' ceiling. The back of the L/R connects to the front of the D/R. I was wanting to hang the speakers from the 9' ceiling and the transition between the L/R and the D/R.
