Monitor 10 Problem?

I just picked up a pair of monitor 10As for a decent price, but I'm concerned about the 6.5" drivers. For each speaker cabinet, one of the two 6.5" drivers will move with the 10" radiator, but the other one is fixed, as though the voice coil is attached to the piston. Should all 6.5' Drivers float / move freely?

THanks,
Kcarl

Yes. The drivers have seized on the voice coils. You'll have to replace them.

It's not uncommon for vintage Polks.

I believe around $50. each new from Polk, first look up the model on backof the speaker, then search on Ebay you could get for $25.00.
I have been in your position a lot with frozen speakers from UPS. P

$48 and you get a discount for being a Club Polk member.

The replacement is the RD-0198 and it's $48 not including Club Polk discount.
