All,
This is one of my fave albums (you got a problem wid dat?) of all times but have not found a really well recorded version. The remaster CD is ok as is the vinyl......has anyone heard and have opinions on the SACD?
They are hard to come by and tend to be expensive so before I go plunk down the coin, I'd like some feedback on if it's worth it or not.

Be aware that there's an earlier stereo only version of the SACD that comes in a paper slipcase. I sold mine but you can see it in the below pic of my music cabinet....
I sold mine simply because I was offered an extremely nice price for it. It's notable that the slipcase is exclusive to the 2 channel stereo version. The later stereo/multi-channel version, such as the one shown in the sa-cd.net link, has the generic plastic slipcase. -
thanks for the link. the only place I've ever seen is Acoustic Sounds, which is mostly classicalI refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

post 7&8 down the page ... may not apply if this remaster you speak of is something brand new. -
Hmmmm....looks like we'll just have to continue with **** versions of it.
Too bad though as a good recording of this would be pretty awesome.
As a side note, Meat used to put on a hell of a live show. Saw him at UMaine back in 1990 and he absolutely kicked ****.

I have the later SACD Stereo/Multichannel version of BAT I. The SACD sounds good, but the CD is good as well. There is a newer RM regular CD special edition with a DVD released in 2006. Can be had on amazon at a fair price.[

Yep this is one of my all time favorites too!

Troy,
I popped a Grant for a multi SACD, its on the way to me via our Postal Service. Have to give a spin in the Shed to see if the Kw can work its magic.
I caught the Meat on a HDNET concert special doing the Bat out of Hell tour , I recorded it and it sounds excellent in the Theater. On a side note there is a very tight little brunette who sings with the Meat on the duet's, she bears a striking resemblance to TLW.;)

You guys know that Meat Loaf has another SACD release besides "Bat out of Hell", right?

Danny, I have that one on the way as well, any good?
One thing about the Loaf, he put alot of passion into his singing and his show's, I saw him early on and he was in a bit better shape but I have read where he has passed out on stage a few times. Seems like he has no problem finding beautiful women with great voices to sing with him, who woulda figured............yea yea yea, I wanna be Rock Star........
