Hi everyone,

I searched and found some three yr old posts on this topic, nothing new. So I am wondering if anyone here has an opinion on which of these two or other satelite companies provide the better image, HD equipment and sound.

I heard that Direct TV transmits in 1080i that needs to be upconverted to 1080p for the newest projectors. I also heard some grumbling about the SD channels on Direct TV being very poor compared to some other SD sources. I have no idea what their basis was.

So I'd like to know what all you Polkies think about this. I just placed large orders for all the HT stuff and it is coming in next week :), then it is set up time, so a satelite HD feed is going to be imperative! See sig for equipment.
