I enjoy listening to music (cds) or radio in stereo as opposed to surround. I am using floor standing speakers for my right and left fronts. Is there a way to configure the speakers or receiver (onkyo 605) to play only out of the two floorstands as opposed to surround when listening to music only?

Like most all the Onkyo/Integra receivers, you should have a choice from the remote control towards the bottom in that area called "Listening Mode". Nothing complicated...just push a button.
Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner.

Just switch it to stereo mode? I don't know if the Onkyos support 5channel stereo like the Denons, but that sounds great too if you have that option.
