This is an Audible Illusions Modulus 3A tube preamp. It was recently re-tubed with Electroharmonix 6922 tubes. The condition is excellent with no scratches or abrasions but it does have a missing screw on the case which I have never replaced. $850 shipped US 48, extra $35 for Canada.


It is a super clean sounding pre which does not seem to add anything extra other than gain. This unit has the attenuators for the left and right gain controls rather than potentiometers. It leaves the signal pure. It also has switches inside to bypass the output capacitors for a nicer sound. It has a built in phono preamp which I used for quite some time. It is not the highest gain on the phono stage but is quite nice. It requires a fairly high gain cartridge otherwise the volume control will be set very high. A tape monitor circuit is provided which allows you to connect a high quality CD output which bypasses all of the switching for an even better sound. Everyone should try one of these at some point. Very nice preamp. It comes with the original packaging from Audible Illusions.
