"A Christmas Story" HD-DVD...Is it any good?

I'm considering picking up "A Christmas Story" HD-DVD but was curious if anyone has any experience with it.

I'm also wondering if the Transfer good?

I'm leery of older movie HD-DVDs because it's hit or miss with the transfers.

    I mentioned in a thread a few days ago that I watched the movie on my old dvd and it was the worst transfer from tape to DVD I had ever seen. But another member brought up the fact that it was out on HD-DVD now and it looked pretty good. That’s all I know.

    I have it and its the best the film has ever looked but, the picture has a very soft look to it so its not going to have that ''POP'' that most HD DVD's have.
