outpost.com is currently selling LSi15s for cheap, but only the 'left speaker', not the 'right speaker' to clear up what could be mistaken for a philosophic question.

I wonder if that is truely the case, or was the "web guy" given a spec sheet that happened to be mark "left", and if you ordered the pair you would actually get a R and L speaker?

To answer the question, it would sound fine, maybe you lose a tiny percentage of "perfection" of the mirrored design.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

    creative responses, so far..:)

BTW, how many Hoosiers do we have now, on the board?

strictly my opinion, using to left LSi15 speakers would yield and interesting results, i.e. soundstage that is somewhat funky, due to they way the drivers are aligned to the sweet-spot.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Strange. Wonder if some poor sap (or even more than one) has a beautiful home set of LSI-15s with two right channel towers??? They should sound just fine though.

wouldn't it be pretty much the same as having 2 subs up front in between the mains and having the woofers pointed in the same direction?.....shouldn't be too much of an issue I don't think. The tweeter axis would be off a little....hardly a big deal.

Yeah, maybe you have to toe one of them in a bit more or something, but I wouldn't think it would be a big deal. Probably a looks thing more than sound quality having the woofers both going left or right.

I just jumped on the Fry's deal of 2 left speakers I COULD NOT RESIST...

They dropped price to 316.37 with 25 dollars for shipping making each speaker 340 dollars...

If i were to purchase them together shipping would have been 2x as much..

I spent 682 for 2 Left LSI speakers...

Did i make the right move, for the price of a Brand new LSI15 speaker with warranty is unbelievable....

Its just speaker placement right? The Tweeter is on the wrong side of the speaker and the woofer is on the wrong side as well...

But speaker placement should fix it right?

I bet their isn't a forum member on this board that would be able to tell the difference. That being said, I wouldn't want two left loudspeakers because I'm a nerd about those things.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
