I have really enjoyed his music going all the way back to the early 70' when I was in college. Great songwriter, great musician and great performer. I for one will miss him.

I still dig his music. Thanks for the post. I think I'll spin some vinyl in his memory tonight. RIP.

He was too young to pass on........

    Wow, that's really sad.

It was always a blast to play Leader of the Band on the piano.

Dan Fogelberg was my personal favorite. Sadly, when I visited his website a few weeks back and saw that it hadn't been updated since 2005 I kinda knew that things must not be going well. I also saw that his beloved Colorado ranch was up for sale.
    Peace Dan, and thank you.

This is sad news.:( I listened to his music throughout my college years in the early/mid '70's. I liked "Souvenirs", "Netherlands", "Captured Angel" and others. RIP, his music will live on for many years.

Thanks, Dan, for the music I enjoyed so much during college years. I was spinning the Twin Sons album not too long ago.

Cfrizz is right...if you are at or about 40 you should get a PSA included in your annual phsyical blood work. The Prostate Specific Antigen test is the best way to catch anything going on early.

Leader of the Band was in heavy rotation at my house when I was a kid. I've got a lot of sentimental value attached to the songs that remind me of my folks.

Hope you've found your peace, Dan.

That really sucks! I used to listen to "Souvineers" all the time. In fact, I still have a few of his tunes on my mp3. One of the most relaxing albums ever. Joe Walsh plays on it, and a bunch of other top notch musicians....RIP

Yeah, I got into his music in the early 70's - Captured Angel & then Souvenirs - still two of my all time favorite albums. He was one of the absolute best singer-songwriters ever. He knew how to craft a song that captured and expressed feelings so well. His music really moved me and moves me still.

Wish there were more like him.

It's a hell of a lot better & shorter than a long spreader & then come the fingers, then the snatch & grab! You've got it easy!

And when they start doing mammograms on men, then you REALLY can complain!

Flattening out a boobies is something I think they did in medeval days as a way of coercing a confession out of someone. I guess the Doc who invented that machine really dug history!
