Dear Abby: My boss quit at work.

I think it might have been due to my improper use of English language structure, ie, a run-on sentence.

I was going to tell him, "F*** You".

I felt that perhaps that may have been inappropriate, so I attempted to substitute "Suck my ****" instead.

Unfortunately, in the process of conversing with Mr. Brainiac, I ran both sentences together and the result came out as

"F*** my ****".

He turned red in the face, stormed out of the control room and spent the next 15 minutes storming about the machinery level, slamming doors, before he got in his car and left.

He quit.

My problem ?
Every time my co-workers see me now, all I hear is, "Hey Rick. F*** my **** !" or "Geez, I've heard of sucking up to the boss, but .....".

Also, should I call up my ex-boss at home and clear up this misunderstanding by letting him know I really meant to say, "F*** you" ? Do you think this will make him feel better.

Thanks.

We made a boss cry once, that was pretty cool. I would have felt bad if it had been a woman, but it was a man.

I had a boss almost ready to cry once. I put him down big time in a meeting and the more excited he got the more I smiled at him. He left the room in a shaking rage, face all read, yelling incoherently. What a trip!
