I was just curious as to where other members set there crossover. I only have a 2 channel rig right now with no sub. I had mine set a 60hz to try get my speakers to go as low as they could when needed (RT800i's). Well I recently played around with it a little bit and found 120hz or 130hz to be the best. By doing this I can give them a lot more bass without fear of distortion and a little more volume. The end result was amazing. I am very pleased with the results to say the least.

How do you have yours set?

About the same here. On 2-channel, it's a dedicated system with Carver gear and SRS II's running full. HT is 7.1 with high side around 70 to 80Hz and the Sunfire sub around 60 to 65Hz.

Even with my LSi9s crossed over at 80hz they produce a HUGE peak at 50hz in my room -- even with massive bass traps. I might try increasing it to 100hz so my subs can do their job better.

Don't forget that crossover isn't an instant thing! There is a slope and room acoustics come into play in a very strong way at low frequencies.
