It's probably I AM by Pete Townshend and friends. A Meher Baba tribute, with music that ranges from sublime to ridiculous.

Great effin' soundtrack. Probably one of my all time faves.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Hmmm.... I'd have to go with my Avril Lavigne albums. The music could be better, but she has a great voice. I'm way out of her target demographic though... :D

Exactly. I am somewhat disappointed at the CD's lack of photos.

    Now this one's weird.

    Stairways To Heaven- (Various Artists)

12 differently themed covers of STH.
    Some disturbing, some hilarious.

There's one done in the style of The Doors, Elvis, (Sgt. Pep era) Beatles, spoken word, etc.

I'm borrowing a CD from a friend: Mucca Pazza's "A Little Marching Band."

They're just that- a 30-piece marching band. I don't how to accurately describe-- much hipper than marching band when I was in high school ~20 years ago. Couple tracks have a circus-y vibe, one sounds like a surf song, just kind of an "unclassifiable" disc. Their website has some amusing photos of the chaos that results when such a large "band" takes the stage together, as they did on Conan O'Brien when he was in Chicago.

Good listening, though. I'm a sucker for horns, and the drum cadences are energetic and fun.

    Used to have:

    Hendrix Little Richard.jpg

    track# song name

    1 Whole Lotta Shakin' (3:01)
    2 Goodnight Irene (2:49)
    3 Keep a Knockin' (3:21)
    4 Going Home Tomorrow (3:18)
5 Belle Stars (Piano Instrumental (2:54)
    6 Tutti Frutti (2:56)
    7 Lawdy Miss Claudie (2:26)
    8 Why Don't You Love Me (3:12)
    9 Lucille (2:55)
    10 Hound Dog (2:24)
    11 Money Honey (2:26)
12 Funky Dish Rag (Organ Instrumental) (3:14)

When I saw it, I had to buy it; 2 giants, pretty different, figured it had to be good.

It was good, but nothing to get overly excited about, so that's why I don't have it any more.

But Hendrix .... and Little Richard ?

    Let me guess........"Menudo"?

The very concept of Menudo is bizarro on so many levels. Basically, it's a latino factory pumping out star after star after star. Think... New Kids on the Block and Lambchops singin' "The Song That Never Ends", and you get the picture. Menudo keeps trucking along... always and forever. Cockroaches. Or cucarachas, as they're wont to say.
I had the infinite pleasure of witnessing over a hundred screaming fans begging for Menudo 6.0 to make an appearance on a balcony in a small town in Ecuador. Beyond surreal. And I LIVE for the surreal.
