I've never been on a sight like this so I'm not familiar with many of the ways to re-post, reply, and so on. I'll do my best. I have taken some pics so you guys came positively ID my speakers. From there I'm sure I can start getting down to business. I appreciate all your patience and help!!

P.S. Although John Candy was a great actor and comedian, fortunaltly there is no resemblance.

a close up of the tweeters would help, they look like the SL3000's, if so, you may have the 1.2tl's, which are the latest model.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Mine say TL on both speakers in the serial number. I've posted a picture of my SL 3000 when I sold them. You will see what I mean by brassy dome.

Hey Mister Computer Hater where are you?

Listening to pure musical bliss. :D

Anyway, Polk routinely used leftover labels, etc. and it's a known fact that not all SDA SRS 1.2TL's have the TL on the S/N label. One way to ID them is to check the number on the crossover, the TL is BE2000-C and the 1.2 is BE2000-B. Another way is to look at the crossover plate, the 1.2 TL has one bolt in the middle while the 1.2 has 5.

Adding to the confusion, Polk offered an upgrade kit for the 1.2 converting it to a TL, but I do not beleive a new crossover plate was part of the package.

Didn't some of the later 1.2s use a one-bolt plate?

My 1.2TLs are 6466 and 6472, and no TL markings.
