I bought a set of these before they were cleared out.
GREAT sound for movies.
I added an Infinity PS210 sub and that goes well with them.
Get a set of the RM10s at a great price before they are discontinued.
I think Amazon still has them.

Hey Mojo, do Polk a favor and add some comments to the product page for that model. That would be much appreciated :D

I had the RM10 setup and was NOT disapointed AT ALL! Especially the sub! The only reason I traded up was because I discovered I liked music more than movies.
I think that set up-for the money- kicked Bose's ****!
Welcome to the forum, and enjoy!

    Onkyo TX-SR605 is the receiver.

    I had a question about the RM10's..

I am considering buying the RM10 5 Peice Speaker set and a PSW505 Subwoofer.

    My Room is 19' x 13'.

From the TV to the seating positions it's about 11'...

My Intention for this system is merely Television Viewing, HD-DVD Viewing and Gaming on a rare occasion.

My Question is for this setup am i right in choosing the RM10's?

    Thanks

I'll second that motion. The Polk RM series is simply unmatched in the current market, at the pricepoint. It will be a stellar home theater and gaming experience.

Be sure to check the Polk Direct eBay store -> http://stores.ebay.com/Polk-Audio-Direct frequently for closeout, factory direct bargains.

Welcome to the boards, and thanks for considering Polk Audio!

    Cheers,

    Awesome.

This is SO much more than your typical audio board - it's more like a brotherhood, and we'd love to welcome you to the family. Consider it part of the bennies package you get with your Polk speakers. ;)

    Cheers,

One other question i had...though off topic to this particular thread..

How does the PSW125 compare to the 505 Subwoofer?

Based on posts and reviews I've seen people clearly support the 505 but i really haven't seen anything on the 125.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Th RM10 didn't come w/ Sub?? Mine did. I bought mine at Tweeter 2 yrs. ago. If there is a Tweeter near you, check to see if they have a matching sub for that system. It'll probably be a close out/ Floor stock.
If no Tweeter, then???? I'm sure someone will pipe up with a recommendation here shortly. Just give it time.LOL

The 505 goes down to the lower frequencies - 23Hz. The 125 doesn't go as low (I think it goes down to 32Hz).
Based upon the size of your room, the 404 seems like a good match - the 505 is huge!
I also recommend the Infinity PS212 for consideration.

I asked if the 404 would be cheaper than the 505.

It will be by 50 dollars....(the 505 is coming with free shipping) i don't know if that is enough to sway that decision.

I would think having more power than less would be what would be desired.

If its suitable for the room than i'll get the 404...but i definitely don't want to choose a weaker sub just for cost concerns.

I've seen the 505 in person it looks about the same size as my previous sub it just looks deep...

    What do you think?

You'll find that you never have to wait for a quick and informed response on this board and that the opinions expressed on here are honest, real word opinions.
    No shills here.

And in the event you need help from Polk, there's

    NOBODY

    that does customer service better.

    Spread the word.

    :)

    P.S. Good choice in speakers.

I ALMOST bought the Klipsch quartet speakers today... I got that good of a deal on them...I think it was $320, something along those lines.

But Decided that the support that i got here overrode that deal.

And EVERYONE i speak to has nothing but nice things to say about polk's products.

I will get a polk at the end of the day.

    Thanks Again,
