Ok so i just bought a pair of 6x9 Polk Speakers (db691 to be exact) and I need to find an amp that will give it that top quality sound.
Here are some of the spec's to the speakers:
Overall Frequency Response 35Hz-22kHz
Nominal Impedance 4 ohms
Power Handling (continuous) 100 w
Power Handling (peak) 300 w
Efficiency 93 dB
i really just need a general direction on what type of amp get, but i love to hear some suggestions from you guys. Post if you still need more info.
thanks o' ton

Post in the car audio section for a decent response. Based on my experience with car audio which is average, I would suggest a 4 channel to run the inside speakers and a mono amp to run any subs. Some of my favorites and that I have used PPI, Fosgate, Alpine, JL Audio, Soundstream. Theres so much more out there now its hard to choose. I heard Memphis is good, though I havent heard one.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Thread moved.
A C300.2 would be a great match for your speakers. That being said, do you plan on adding any other speakers, or a subwoofer? If so, there are other multi channel amp options that you might consider, depending on your 'end' goal for your system.

Well as far as the rest of the system goes I do have (2) 6.5in speakers in the front but I wasnt looking to put an amp thru to them, Instead ether 2 10in subs or a 1 12in sub in my trunk.
what can you make with that?
any ideas?
I'm such a noob to this stuff lol -

You could add a C500.1 to drive the two 10's or one 12 - or just get the C400.4, which can run in 2, 3, or 4 channel mode and drive your DB series + a sub from a single amplifier.

You know what... I'm gonna go with the C400.4 on this one, seems like a better way of doing it.
wow thanks a ton for this RuSs you really saved me a lot of time on this.
have a great holiday! -
Here is a good place to shop around.
Browse thru these and find the ones you like best. You need something in the 75-100 watts per channel RMS for best results.
