    Excellent. I had a pair of the 718 for a couple weeks. I'm sold on that brand.....but not enough to oust Magnepan.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I've heard some of the Usher speaker line, and they are outstanding! I've wanted to hear the ones with the berylium tweeter, but have not had the opportunity yet. I had berylium tweeters years ago in a pair of Yamaha NS-1000M speakers, and really liked it.

    Mark - good to know they didn't unseat the Maggies!

    Hmmmm, guess I missed out on the history of the company :( I wasn't aware of any of the issues you mention. I do know that Usher must work with Madisound, as when I have stopped into the Madisound store in Spring Green WI they have some of the the same speakers Usher does except badged as Madisound kits. Could you expand on your concerns? I'm just curious about what you referenced.

    I have been dying to hear some of the big Dancers with the Be tweeter.

    They have been getting away from the ScanSpeak clones more recently....but yeah those chopped paper drivers definitely were clones. Danny Ritchie also worked on the crossovers of the new mini Dancers with the Be tweeter.....I would really love to hear those as well.

    Zero - thanks for the education. I am aware of the PacRim regions attitude towards copyrights and patents. I wish we could single out Usher as an exception, unfortunately they are more the norm for that region.

    The V-602's I've had for a few weeks are glorious on tubes.

    Every Chi-Fi manufacturer feeds off one another, as it's the only way to survive. Try going to CES one year and you'll see 50 companies trying to get picked up by a distributor/retailer. Usher made the cut for a reason and that copycat stuff is just an excuse.

    Matter of fact, wasn't Russman using one of Ushers amps not too long ago? I would like to hear your feedback on that someday Russ.

    I did notice that the stands they sell are exact duplicates of Sonus Fabers stands
