Copying DVD's to PSP?

First of all, this is not a thread about how to copy/steal DVD's I don't own to my daughter's PSP. All of the DVD's I want to copy to the PSP we legally own.
My daughter is going on a pretty long trip after Christmas and she wanted me to copy a couple of her DVD's to her Sony PSP. She has friends that have DVD's they own copied to the Memory Stick in the PSP. A software pgm called Media Manager Max came with the PSP, and it will do the conversion of the video to the UMD format and copy the file to the 4 gig memory stick duo pro we have. The part I am confused on is what I use to rip the movie (looks like TS_Video and VOB files on the DVD) to a non-CSS/region free file without the copy protection. Someone suggest the ImToo program that's available for download on the internet.
