Help; Polk 404 sounds very different

Guys,

I upgraded e/thing recently except my sub. Now out of the clear blue while watching a movie my 404 sounds like "glass is breaking" meaning kinda like NO bass; but just rattled sound?? I don't know if this is a result of my upgrade or what? I tried re-adjusting the settings; no luck.

My new speakers... fxi3; rti10 and csi5.

Any ideas/suggestions?

    You need to give up more info when asking these questions.Are you useing speaker level inputs? What is the crossover set to? Plugged in to the LFE on the receiver?Most of your problems are going to be in the setup menu of your AVR.How do you have everything wired up?

    I had the same problem w/ my 303, just before it poofed-DON'T FREAK OUT!
    Try reconfiguring your hook-ups, crossover, plugging the sub into another outlet/ power source. When mine blew, I lost my pc at the same time, so I don't know which component caused it.

    Great, thats all I need after the boss gave me clearance on the recent upgrades! I wll however, follow your suggestions and see what happens.
