Its not like this was the sole and only purpose of the study. Its probably just one of the many conclusions drawn from a larger overall study.
Regardless, studies need to be done to get a true measure of how big, if any, a problem truly is. -

You have to understand how anal the medical/scientific community can be. There are those that will not accept any conclusion unless there is a double blind study to support it.
